In the following video we show the guest toilet renovation with adhesive vinyl in 5 simple steps. The effort remains as low as possible, because we use the old tiles as a base. Thus, the toilet renovation is possible without large construction site. These are the important steps for the renovation of the guest toilet and adjoining corridor with adhesive vinyl:
1.
Everything
must be out of the way to prepare
Empty
the guest toilet. Remove bothersome clothing, adhesive residue and silicone.
Remove dirt and grease with basic cleaner. Glue off any edges you do not need
to fill. The vinyl plank
flooring comes perfect here.
2.
Prepare
wall surfaces and edges for bonding.
Using
cement screed, level the wall tiles completely. With this you prepare a perfect
result for glued vinyl. Then set aluminum corner profiles for the thickness of
the planned adhesive vinyl. Then fill the profiles flush in the second pass.
3.
Prepare
floor space and pre-wall installation Clean and prime
Since
the adjoining corridor gets the same vinyl, we adjust the height with leveling
compound. Then you can do the installation for the cistern. After the cladding
fills everything flush. Grind off the last bumps and vacuum.
4.
Stick
vinyl to the walls Apply
The
contact adhesive on both sides to the substrate and vinyl backing with a roller
or brush is the basic. The pre-cut vinyl planks are already aligned when
gluing. With the palm of your hand press the planks. With the vinyl plank flooring this is the
perfect deal now.
5.
Stick
vinyl to the floor Shorten
The frames
for floor laying are important. Clean the floor again. Lay out the vinyl planks
over the entire surface and cut completely. The pre-cut vinyl planks are then
glued as far as you can apply glue. Do not forget to roll on the planks when
freshly inserted. Finally, only the sealing of the joints with silicone
remains.
